The radar was probably sold by the captain, the rockets by his officers and the bullets for those Gatling guns got traded for vodka by the sailors.

Well?
The Ukrainians built that ship.
Wanna bet some of them knew how to circumvent it's defenses?

The Russian state news said that the entire crew of the Moskva was evacuated and saved. The Russian state news said the same thing when the nuclear submarine Kursk sank in 2000. They are definitely causalities, if it was either a magazine explosion caused by accident or caused by two Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles. Because the Moskva sank so quickly, it would appear that a majority of crew were injured or killed.

I was in the US Navy from 1983 to 1989. We are talking peak Cold War. Ronald Reagan's "evil empire" era.
We studied Russian capability and doctrine relentlessly. After seeing so many high value units left so vulnerable, I think we would have crushed the Soviet Navy back in the day. They are third world level of incompetent.

Storyline: Moskva was built in Ukraine in 1976, it was used in Georgia, it is the command and control for Russia's air defenses in the Black Sea, it attacked Snake Island and told the Ukrainian soldiers to surrender, the soldiers were released later by Russia in a prisoner swap, now the ship has sunk. Can make a great movie!

We need to keep Ukraine stocked with everything they need so they can win quickly i just thought of a way we could help them heres how: we mail checks or money orders to whatever United States government office that would receive the money then the government sends out food and military aid or whatever they need its a way we can know that 100 percent of the money given actually goes to Ukraine and if most everyone in America does this they will have a lot of help this way they can announce on the news how to help like on CBS and NBC

The reaction of the russians gives one good reason to believe the ship was struck

The ship was built in Ukraine.
Someone in Ukraine would have knowledge of how to hack it's systems.

The Ukrainians say they distracted the ship's radar by flying a Turkish drone out towards the ship.

How will Russian Admirals inspect the Black Sea Fleet after the war is over?
From a glass bottom boat.
