We just picked up the G4 and I have nothing left on my wish list. Game players are always looking for the latest and greatest, but I can't imagine anything better than the G4 for movies, news, etc for another 10 years. As a flush mount, it is probably the most beautiful tv even when it is turned off. Once I learned how to set Dolby vision and filmmaker mode on together - Just Wow!
The glossy screen is what makes it so beautiful even when off, we considered Samsung no glare screen, but the more I looked at it both on and off is when I saw the LG g4 as the best choice. The G5 is going to Rock and it will be the best tv out there for movies and news and just plain looks. Thank you LG and Thank you for working with Apple to make the newest operating system to include Spatial Audio!

Disappointing that they are going to not include the stand mounts in the lower sized tvs! Once again! Come on LG! Not everyone wants a wall mount!

Have my current LG CX for the last 5 years so might upgrade to the G5 or M5 when they release. Hopefully will be a nice upgrade especially as I’ve started to notice some burn in on my CX creep in.

LG's claim about brightness, you MUST READ THE SMALL PRINT. This is a 40% brightness increases against the B4/5. The B series is the lowest end line and the brightness has stayed the same for the last 5-7 years. Comparing the G series to the B series is like comparing the 3 series BMW to a M series and bargain about how much faster the M series is then the 3 Series. Dont get me wrong, the G5 should be a great tv, I want to get one, but its NOT 40% brighter then the G4. It's probably closer to 5-10% in movie mode after calibrated.

Why is it that we by now have hundreds of videos from their new TVs, but nothing about the Ultragear Monitor stuff? Or have they only released the TVs for now?

Glad they ditched the stand. Mount this on the wall like it deserves!

Why is brightness always associated with best picture quality? I even turn down the brightness on my C3. I get that HDR requires a lot of nits, but i always use the dark room option. Dont look extreme bright displays.

Hold LG to account with their ongoing uniformity issues on their OLED's and then we'll listen about brightness and wireless boxes etc. All I want LG to do is make a TV which doesn't have vertical lines all over it when watching football or have pink/green tint.

It's the brightness battle between brands, the same with cameras on smartphones. The tech world became so boring.

how bright can TVs be before the eye cannot dialate well enough to appreciate low brightness content and black levels?

And still with that stupid remote. I have serious regret purchasing my LG tv just for the lousy remote.

im not buying any LG products anymore after support lied to me and costing me more than 1, 000 dollars worth of items not received and on top of that refusing to ship an item that was included in the purchased. Beware with this company!

Ask them when they will make it cheaper

Same panel, same technology. Last year, LG already claimed that the maximum brightness of the G4 was 2500nits. Nothing new, just a marketing trick.

It was all fine until the end. Saying C4 was the 'bang for buck' TV for him last year is a joke. C4 was basically a C2 without any inprovements worth mentioning.

C4 really missed out on MLA and if its not MLA nor a 4 layer stack as roumored about G5 the C-series is a no go this year as well. QD-oleds are pulling ahead 😐
