If you are having trouble beating the mimic boss, all you got to do is strip off all of your armor, weapons and trinkets BEFORE entering the fight. Just go in to the fight naked, the boss will then also appear naked with no weapons and from there go to your menu and equip your weapon, don't bother wasting time putting your armor back on because the mimic boss will do so little damage against you, and then just beat the guy with a couple of swings of your sword. I did this and can confirm that when you re-equip your weapon, the boss still was fighting with just the fists.

Discovered this item by accident and didn't even check what it was until there was buzz around it. Having used it to tank bosses for me now, yeah--it's like summoning another player that is consistently good and doesn't die in the first 5 seconds of a fight. Absolutely the best summon in the game, hands down.

The Skeleton militarman ashes are really op too because they revive themselfs so they basically always distract the Boss besides the hugh aoe attacks

Using this on my gravity magic build was just ridiculous, enemies don’t even get to react as they are pinballed around by a bullet hell esque display of purple rave lights

I just stumbled upon this spirit literally earlier this morning and after using it against the boss a little bit ahead of the spot you pick it up in, I upgraded it to +8

Seems crazy to use on a mage build considering that it seems like it can just spam spells without worrying about FP. give it carian greatsword/piercer skills and watch it just go mental with gigantic swords the entire battle.

this is just something else, an entire player character, which can have a completely separate build to compliment your own...

yes this is without a doubt the strongest summon in the game. He can basically tank any damage, deals the exact amount of damage as your weapon (often use special skill to deal way more damage), and most importantly he can heal himself.

Another thing you can do: equip the ring that aggros all enemies; summon the mimic and then change back your ring to what you want. The mimic is really tanky so now you have a meat shield that is op and will keep all the enemies off you

I was using this on a faith build, and with double the heals and buffs, my mimic can survive a very long time even against endgame bosses.
