The L-Sit is deceptively simple exercise. It may look easy but it requires a hell of a lot of strength and control -- and not just in your core. In this video, Ryan will teach you how to effectively work your way to a full L-Sit, breaking the move down into manageable steps.

So basically the way to reduce the cramping is to keep doing L Sits?? Any type of stretch or strengthening work can be done as well specifically for this?

Hi, I have a question regarding L-sit pullups.
If I do a regular pullup and get into an L-sit at the top, then lowering myself, I am not able to hold the L-sit position when my arms get straight. My feet just sort of fall down, and I can't fight it. Do you know what muscles are failing here? What can I do to work on it?

my thighs cramp up so easily whenever I L sit. Will it get better if I become more flexible? (I am the least flexible person ever😅)

I find that I cramp on the smaller medial muscle groups such as the sartorius about midway between my knee and the hip.

First, it's trainers that find ways to improve performance and then science follow in 99% of cases, so bro science is an aspect, but there is also the invaluable experience and trial and error of older trainers that is much more valuable and useful than most of what PT university training can bring to the table.

Second, the other reasons for cramping are answered by the question, why rectus femoris is in such a load? Poor ROM of hamstrings is a big one, and lack of synergistic muscle support, Iliopsoas, is the other one.
