That V12 is singing sounds so sweet you know the pilots in the M109 were shaking in their boots when they saw one of these on their tails it was not going to end well for them. That red nose is cool as hell

You can recognise the sound of a Merlin with your eyes closed, you don't need to see the plane to know its powered by probably the greatest aero piston engine ever made !

Perfect example of serendipity... the P51 was average until they put the Merlin in it. Interesting how basic engineering decisions generated huge results.
