Nissan Silvia S15 Review

Had a squeaky clutch too when I put a new clutch in mine. WD40 is not the solution. You need to put thicker grease lube onto the clutch pivot fork.

I dont know if anybody commented on the squeeky clutch, and maybe you fixed it, but on my S14a i had that squeeky problem and it came from a not complete perfect clutch change job, but the fix was easy. If you raise up the car and look at the gearbox, you should have a clutch arm that moves a metal plate everytime you press the clutch, its perfecly visible by just looking at the left or right side on the gearbox. Now on my car they mounted the protection rubber thats supposed to keep dirt out the wrong way, so it didnt cover the hole correctly and let small amounts of dirt in. All we did was lubricate and, with much effort, turned the rubber around the other way and it went quiet (Its a 2 mans job, one push the clutch gently and the other guy risks his fingers =). IF its fitted wrong you will also visually be able to clearly see that, because it wount stay in place propper. My S15 and S14a is parked for there winter rest a bit of to the country so cant just go out and have a look, but my tip is to look up this arm and the hydralic like cylinder that presses it underneth the car. Also, english is not native so i hope i explained my self well enough. If you already found the issue, plz tell how you fixed it, might be good to know for future reference. I doubt you'll see this but that squeak you here from your clutch is possibly actually a small ballbearing on the clutch fork that's just not greased

These cars hold there value well in Aus . 16 year old spec c still worth above 10k . Brand new they were $40 k 2000

Hello, great review! I'm thinking to get a JDM and S15 is on the list, but I one question: I'm a cyclist and have been wondering if the rear seat could fold down to increase the trunk space to fit a bike(front wheel removed)

Hey mate, I live in brissy and I bought a JDM S15 Spec-R last year November and it's been my pride and joy ever since. side note; I'm on my green P's but I get on my opens in May this year. I did take the risk, but I couldn't be happier :)

13.17L/100km?!! Awww man, that's pretty terrible mileage. I just put in a fairly stock S15 SR20 with T28 ball bearing turbo into my S13. Was doing 10L/100km before with a Stock NA SR20DE. Thought a turbo is supposed to make the engine more efficient :P

mobil isnt good for sr's mate, try shell 98 more kms and response. I'm getting around 10.5l/100km on s14
