another big difference is spec r has a turbo, spec s is naturally aspirated

I think America is the only country that didn't get these, Here in NZ we get "NZDM" models of most Japanese cars like my s15 Spec R II and DC2 Integra Vti-R

I think the Spec-R is an absolute JDM bargain at the moment, give it 2 years and this car is going to skyrocket in price. As I've noticed most JDM cars usualy start to see their 3rd highest price increase 5 years before they are able to be imported and the 2nd highest price increase the year they become available to import, and the highest price increase the year the final model year of the vehicle has been able to be imported for 1 to 2 years. This is in my humble opinion the best looking car to come out of japan with the only better looking ones being the classic vehicles such as the toyota 2000gt or the datsun 240z.

I mean Japanese automatic transmissions from the 90s and early 2ks were pretty good smooth shifting down low but aggressive and snappy up top unlike American automatics

And with Over drive (or "hold") button pushed in you could force it to shift at any RPM you desired meaning you could do mountain runs on the weekends and use it to get to and from work in rush hour without the frustration

tell me you don't know about S15s without telling me you don't know S15s.

The Spec S in Japan was also an SR20DE, not DET, had no chassis bracing (including trunk bracing), among other things.

It was shit tier.

Also talking as an owner of a heavily modified JDM Spec R in Aus. Currently being rebuilt, but expecting 400+hp on a conservative tune.
