In Vietnam we toss this into a pot and let it slow cook for hours, we do this with brisket also. The result is a super juicy and tender slab of cooked meat. We then slice it thinly and top it in our bún bò or phở bò. Love that stuff.

I always thought flank is kinda shitty (and maybe it is since I've noticed it's cheaper) but once I learned how to cook I realized it is a versatile cut of meat for sure and if cooked right and left tender its great!

Great for fajitas. Cut down length into 2 or 3 log strips. Cut those across the grain snot 6 inches long. Marinate with typical fajitas liquids and spices. Later, cut each of those pieces across the grain into about 8 slices and grill high heat to cook well and get crust. Perfect!!

Some great jerky! Remove any silver skin and areas of fat. Cut lengthwise between the muscle fibers. Will get long strands. (Can initially cut it across in half for shorter strands) Create your favorite jerky marinade and marinate the strands overnight.

Stretch marinated strands out on cooling rack on a sheet pan. Dry in 170F oven for 4-5 hrs. Or use a dehydrator or smoker. You’ll have excellent jerky strips when done. Best to keep in a jar standing up vs in a zip top bag laying on each other. Give them space.

Flank steak is one of my favorite cuts because as long as you have a small idea what you're doing, it can turn out to be some of the best cuts you'll ever eat. Don't know what to do? Make it easy, put it in a stew. It's that season.

LOVE flank! Have a flank and a skirt in the freezer right now. Never thought to roll it, though. I'll have to try it! I always just marinate, season and cook mid rare 🤤

Flank and skirt are easily my favourite steak cuts, just a quick acidic marinade and toss it on a ripping hot cook surface until you got some color on each side but the middles still pink, and slice nice and thin and you have one of the most flavorful cuts of meat around

I've family that prefers well done and this steak is by far their favorite, since getting a bit of advice from a butcher, I've learned this is probably a better one to cook well done. Especially if you cut thinly against the grain.

I love flank it’s a great cut that’s not to expensive and does well with marinades. A great change up from filet or rib eyes.

My favorite thing to do with this cut is: season with salt and pepper, sear both sides on a hot grill and cut against the grain in thinner strips, juicy as hell and you get a delicious af "crust" on the outside. Because it's so thin of a cut you can get the crust and still have it medium rare on the inside with a hot grill.

I’ll use it for jerky. Cut against the grain into strips no more than 1/4” thick. Marinade overnight (12ish hours), dry excess marinade and put on the smoker for a couple hours until done. So good and much better than anything I’ve gotten at the store.
