Jollof rice comes from SENEGAL, Saint Louis during the french colonization. Nothing to with the Jollof empire as the name suggests. From Senegal it spread across West Africa. If Jollof rice did not originate in Senegal UNESCO would never recognize its origins in SAINT LOUIS. Do you really think unesco did not research before confirming its origin in Senegal?
