In ncr you can have a diesel vehicle for up to 10 years only but it's 15 years for petrol

We had a car for almost 11 years and our total distance was nearly 50k.
Petrol is so smooth and refined and is best for family who prefer comfort and who dont drive their car everyday.

What about the higher maintenance cost of diesel cars??? And also in delhi ncr (and even wider region) diesel cars are allowed upto 10 years whereas petrol for 15 years, Also considering pollution restriction like recent GRAP 4 in delhi same aged petrol vehicles were allowed whereas diesel ones were restriced with high challan...

You are considering 20k per year, but diesel is good for people like us who drive 30-35k a year

FD interest of 1.5L ~10000, in 5 years you will have 1.5L + 50000 + bit more interest. so in comparision to 1.8 lakh. there is 20 thousand loss,
and that too if you have daily run of approx 70km. While in most of city even one way 10-15 km means long drive !

1.5 Liter Engine
City + long running par 13kmp ka milage deti hai .
Diesel 17kmpl deti hai.
Approx 50000 ka difference hai. 3 year mein cost difference cover ho jayega. But best difference apne nahi bataya .
Hiway running best hai Diesel ki. Strong engine

What about the maintenance sir ? Please consider maintenance also in your calculation which is very important to assume that you vehicle will run for 5 years

Maintenance kon dega bhai. Diesel ekto abhi kam hai or bhai petrol ki maza alag hai😅

Maintenance also. Diesel cars are less prone to maintenance you just need to major maintenance at 100k km.

You missed the interest cost which you are paying on extra 1.5lac for the loan tenure

Diesel ke parts bhot expensive hote hai jo nani yad dila dete hai 😂

Wrong. Jo 1.5 lakhs extra de rahe ho uska interest bhi jodna. Diesel gaadi ki life aur petrol gaadi ki life bhi alag hoti h.

Differences are
Daily run
Maintenance
Ownership cost
Interest on cost difference

If ur daily drive is 60+ then diesel is worth it.
Lesser than that go for petrol
