Another thing to point out here is that "Chill Neace" is a channel where Neace is taking the Champions from A to Z and playing it once off meta build and once in meta build (if he doesnt win with the off meta one), obviously for content creation purposes. He probably lacks both the champion profound mastery AND is learning as he goes in the game how to apply the strenghts of the off meta build he is playing with. The fact that he can play and win like that is rather a statement to the difference of low elo vs high elo, since he can play with no champion mastery (in theory because of the off meta build) and still win anyway a lot of the time.

This ties directly with the impact thing that Azzapp is talking about.

The OP on reddit lacks too much league knowledge to even understand what is going on in the game... That post sucks.

i always enjoy your content, and that you use vel'koz as your examples. i love the champion and sit at a 58% win rate for climbing but as you say the variance in low elo is incredible.

I stopped playing PC LoL in 2018, used to main Top and Mid. When I quit, I was Plat 1/2, I might have even hit Dia at one point, was a long time ago. Basically, as I was climbing, mostly through Bronze-Gold, I was consistently well when playing Top, like going 3/0 in laning phase on Voli, Renekton etc. So I was super fed, especially by Mid game, but I had a ton of matches where I lost late, even if my KD was 14/4 or something as good. Games just dragged on and we couldn't close out when we had the lead. It got better in Plat, but I was really tilted throughout the earlier ranks just because I had these really great games that I lost, didn't help if someone was BM-ing in all chat.

I am plat support last 7 seasons or so. The thing that ruins the game for me the most are smurfs in this elo, period. In my EUNE server every other game has a smurf inside, which is kinda ridiculous.

I never get smurfs but i get a lot of throwers which is more concerning imo. low elo has too many of these people tbh

You dont need a good reaction speed, quick decision making skills, multitasking skills or patience/tolerance as a coach, you need good analysis and mathematical skills and understand how others think and how to help them. Its like bodybuilding, the players are usualy the ones with the good genetics and the nutritionist are the coaches that have the knowledge to turn a guy with good genetics into a winner.

I'm Bronze 4 and I can't play normals anymore. I always face 2-3 man groups with a Plat toplaner and their bronze friends. The plat is top against me and I struggle a lot and my teammates flame me for losing so I get depressed and stop playing…

Im straight up gonna agree with the the first point, skill gap between a bronze and challenger player has became smaller.

Something I think that needs to be factored in is the fact that some low elo players might know that something is the right answer, but don’t want to do it because they don’t find it fun. Whenever I play with friends I know that in a lot of lanes freezing is what I should be doing but it’s low elo, I’d rather just run into someone and go for really stupid plays
