Battery management system is needed. Internal resistance of each battery is different. A battery with lower internal resistance will draw more current. This higher current may destroy one battery while the other battery is undercharged and sulphated. While not charging, the battery with higher voltage will supply the one with lower voltage, disharging. 2 batteries are the same

Yep I noticed that too, if they are connected in parallel they will dischage and recharge together.

I have a question I don't get it if you want to charge One battery you put the plus and negative of the charging clip on that one battery but if you still leave the parallel connection to the other battery wouldn't it be charging the other battery as well?

So you will still be charging both batteries at the same time wouldn't you have to disconnect the parallel connection to charge one at a time?

Why does it matter if you put the terminals on a single battery versus one terminal on each battery if they are still connected in parallel and all together ?

is there a limit to the number of batteries being charged? I am thinking about a battery bank with inverters as emergency power, when it is inconvenient to run a loud gas generator.

If you have a dual bank charger and a parallel 12v system, can you wire the charger by banks to each battery.. bank 1 on charger to battery 1, bank2 on charger to battery 2 all while still wired parallel?

So I just bought the noco 5x2 charger (2 banks) for my duramax diesel truck. Can I connect both banks of the charger (one set of connectors to each battery) without disconnecting the batteries and be ok? I also bought the noco 2 inch plug. My plan is to permanently mount the charger in the truck on both batteries and just plug in if my truck sits for any length of time as it has the elusive chevy battery draw somewhere and my batteries die after a few weeks of sitting.

Quick question. I will be connecting two batteries in parallel then onto an inverter. When im charging the batteries do i clamp to the same terminals that the inverter are linked to? Or to the terminals that are free? Does it matter?

Thank you! I had two batteries shipped to me and neglected to check their charge level before installing them in my car. One is hard to access and the other is right on top. Now I don't have to worry about taking everything apart to access each one.

I have 2 12v rv house batteries connected in parallel. I have a 200W portable solar panel with charge controller ready to charge these batteries. I wanted to double ck that I hook the solar up to the positive and negative of the one battery where the parallel cables land that connect both batteries?
