How To Repair Your Suit In Shadow Of Chernobyl (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl)

Took about 5, 6 minutes of standing in the Electro anomaly with 4 Battery artifacts on. I think if I had 5, it might be a little quicker. You can also heal yourself and repair your suit by equipping 4 to 5 Pellicle artifacts and standing in the Fruit Punch anomaly or by equipping 4 to 5 Spring artifacts and standing in the Springboard, Whirligig and Vortex anomalies. The key is having your anomaly protection up past 100% and it only works with these 3 artifacts (Pellicle, Battery and Spring) as far as I know.

Thank you to the Stalker wiki for making me aware of this, as it dramatically increases the usability of expensive sets of armour, as well as making irreplaceable unique suits of armour a very viable choice.

Because electro protection is over 100% anomalies deal minus damage to Strelok and his suit. For example: anomaly normally deals 50 dmg with a tick; our artifact gives Strelok 150%; damage dealt to us is anomaly damage - protection*anomaly damage. Putting in numbers: 50 - 150%*50 = 50-75 = -25, so it means we are healed for 25. Also equipping more and better artfiacts should make whole 'healing' procces faster.

Personal tip: Find an area where electro anomalies are clkustered together enough so that you can stand between two of them. You'll get flashed twice as much, and get your suit repaired twice as fast. Good spot for that is the tunnel in Cordon, under the railroad bridge.

This is the siliest and smartest way to use artifacts I've ever seen lol, I love it
It looks dumb but it's so true to the game's lore. Artifacts are indeed surreal and valuable items, allowing one to even turn certain death anomalies into their advantage

How the heel did you come up with this??

My favorite way to do it is with 4-5 Shell artifacts; campfires are pretty common so I just jump in them to repair my armor

This would have to be an in-game feature, that anomalies have an utility beyond just killing you or giving you artifacts, but only if you have the correct artifacts and suits. For example the Oasis, which has healing effects.

Kinda crazy this is the only way to repair anything in the vanilla game.

Holy crap, I didn't think about this...

Classic. I, myself, had bugged out Sakharov's quests and exchanged 5 Fireballs for 5 Pellicles. Fruit Punch attacks you much more rapidly, so you don't need to wait for so long. With two Moonlight artefacts, sprinting to wherever the anomaly is isn't so slow, either.

Then a random boar appears and rubs itself against the player character and the suit was broken once again.

Wish I knew this playing the vanilla games, wasn't even that long ago.

I'm still kinda early in the game (i think)
Barely got to the experienced rank and I'm about to go for the measurements to make the psy resistant suit in the zombie infested ruins. This is a really good thing to know in advance.

In v1.0006 ("triple-aught six" as I call it), Electro Batteries ("true" Batteries) and Fire Batteries (supposed to be called "Shells") are few and far between. I'm currently in Pripyat on my most recent playthrough (first time playing "triple-aught six") and I have three of each of those. Pellicles are easier to get. You need a bare minimum of four, but I've got 10 of them. I stashed five in the blue footlocker at 100 Rads and another five in a safe next to a garage containing a Fruit Punch anomaly in the Wild Territory of western Rostok. Repairing your suit in a garage. Seems fitting. Kinda reminiscent of Fallout 4.

You can earn Pellicles from Professor Sakharov. All you need are a Gravi, a Jellyfish, and a Fireball. Those are are all common and you'll find plenty of each. His third repeatable artifact retrieval mission is for a Fireball. The reward is a Pellicle. If you have a surplus of them, or if you prefer other healy-go-nuts artifacts for fixing armor, you can sell them to Sakharov for their full value of 5, 000 rubles. Also, once you have some means of fixing armor, you no longer need to keep spare armors. You can just keep one of each of your faves and sell the rest. An exception would be if you only have Pellicles and not enough of the other ones. Then you might want to keep a few of the better armors for Red Forest and beyond.

Note: Shells are great because you can use Burners or campfires to regen your armor. Also, the SEVA and the PSZ-9Md regen faster than the SSP-99M when standing in a Fruit Punch while wearing four or five Pellicles. The reason (I think) is because the SSP-99M has higher chemical protection than the other "egghead" suits.

Lol amazing. Also nice to know another oceanic tourist made his way to the exclusion zone!

I was thinking about the weapons repairing thing and just came with an idea that gonna try out, how about if you wore the weapon and have it pulled out while being in a electricity dangerous area or even something else like fire for example

Short answer:Get 4+ battery artifacts and then get electrocuted.
