I currently have a short that reached 2.1 million views and for me it's definitely quality over quantity. The short took a couple hours to edit, but paid off in the long run. Biggest thing for new people looking to make content is the view retention time. I noticed YouTube doesn't really push out videos with less than a 70% retention rate and also having that short as close to a minute as possible since YouTube wants people on their website as long as possible. If you make a video and probably won't watch it yourself, that's a good indicator others won't either. Goodluck everyone!

I'm doing the same thing. I started on September 5th, and in 2 days, I got 1k views in almost 3 to 4 shorts combined. Now, videos are scheduled, but zero views. I was wondering if you added tags to all your shorts because you haven't mentioned in this video that you added tags to your shorts. I have also not added tags in my shorts, just 3 hashtags in the title, and m getting zero views every day.

Just a warning for people wanting to do this, I recently made a AI reddit channel and grew it to 5k subs and close to 12million views. The normal subway surfer type reddit videos. I got accepted into the Partner Program only to be kicked out 3 days in due to repetitive content. All of my videos were different runs and different stories but YouTube’s AI isn’t dumb and it knows “repetition”. It also looks for videos with AI voices so be careful investing a lot of time into this because now I have a unmonitizable channel and a lot of wasted time.
