JESUS: WHO DID HE SAY HE WAS?

Having already established the “historicity” of Jesus being a real living person, let's talk about the idea that Jesus was just a good moral teacher or prophet, but not God.

Instead of theories from people thousands of years later, let’s consider who Jesus Himself said He was.

3 MAJOR titles Jesus claimed for Himself;
---The Promised Messiah and King of the Jews - riding in on the donkey just days before His death was a clear fulfillment of prophecy, and above Him nailed on the cross was His offense and title “King of the Jews”
---The Son of God - the parable of the vineyard shows He considered Himself the one and ONLY Son of God, Distinct from all other prophets, God’s final messenger, and THE heir of Israel
---The Son of Man - referring to the prophet Daniel’s vision about the coming King, Jesus clearly referred to Himself as this Son of Man almost 80 times

With these 3 unique titles, Jesus left no doubt about who He believed and said He was.

But the most important question He left us with is;
“Who do YOU say that He is?”
