Two things that help my hair hold curl:

1. Getting my hair layered, like shorter layers. If its all on length it won't hold

2. Product! I put Paul Mitchell styling gel in my hair when wet then blow dry. When I'm curling, I spray the strand with Sebastian hairspray. Wait for it to dry then curl. Works wonders!
