👉 Action steps:
1. Don't wash your hair daily
2. Conditioner is your BFF
3. Natural oils are great
4. Use things that coat your hair
IM-uhtk
there are four main factors of frizz:
-chemical and heat damage
the heat causes damage to your hair, which makes it harder to align the hair fibres together and make them stay in place.
-curl pattern
curly hair is known for frizz, it’s natural. the hair fibres are not aligned naturally. the curlier the hair, the more frizzy it’s gonna be.
-environmental damage
everytime you go outside in hot weather, the hair is soaking up moisture and breaking down the hair products you use, making your hair become frizzy and big.
-diameter of hair
the larger the diameter of hair, the harder it is to keep style in your hair.
tips:
1. don’t wash your hair everyday. if you really want to, use conditioner.
2. distribute oils in your hair, use natural bristle brushes (link in bio for some)
3. use moisturising products such as hair oils, moisture creams, conditioning mist & sprays.
4. use moisturising shampoos & conditioners that have oils that will lay down ur hair
5. use hair masks!
6. try not to colour ur hair
7. use heat protectant spray and good high tech heat tools.
8. be more careful when brushing your hair
9. if you have extremely frizzy hair, don’t be afraid to use hair balms-
10. be gentle when drying your hair
11: don’t run ur fingers thru ur hair

Anyone else’s hair look like a lion’s mane after it dries from washes regardless if you use a towel, t-shirt, or nothing to dry it with? Idk what I’m doing wrong but it always takes 2-3 days for it to settle down before the roots start gettingreally oily. My hair is fine and the curl pattern ranges from 2a to 2c.

Brad: "Frizzy hair will probably never be trendy"
The 80s: 🤡
DeadLkeMe
Brad describes curly hair accurately: some strands are wavy, some sections are moderately curly, some are tight curls, some are ringlet curls, some are corkscrew curls, some go in the same direction, some curl in random directions.

I did a few things this past year that really worked for me:
1. bought a silk pillowcase (and I wash it frequently, it's also great for your skin!)
2. bought a microfiber hair towel
3. bought a shower filter
These are all things that you only have to do once and then you're good to go, and they do make a difference! I just came back from the salon and the stylist was shocked at how 'good' my hair still was after so many bleaches. :)

sad life when u have hair that gets oily super fast + frizz.. there is no escape

Healthy curly hair still has “frizz.” Y’all. Don’t let anyone tell you that your natural look isn’t right. Challenge yourself to show people other/natural standards of beauty. Don’t be afraid ❤️

brad's simple advice of not washing everyday has already made a lot of difference on my hair's frizz

So true about the trial and error. My hair loves some products, and some products are complete mess on my hair. Please Brad do some more drugstore product testing for us!

I got my 4b hair straightened last Saturday. It's been rainy and very humid ever since. I've used an anti-frizz serum (argan oil) and have kept my hair wrapped in a bonnet under a scarf all week.

As someone with thick, curly hair who also lives in Oklahoma, I’ve just learned to accept at least some level of frizz in the summer 😅 only thing I got going for me is that I heat style my hair like, 2 times a year
