I love Mary because no one loved her when she was alive, at least not for a long time. I'm sure she was wonderful and kind and her father turned her into a religious, cruel monster who burns innocent people for religion. I hate Henry because he neglected his daughters because he wanted a son and because he didn't let Mary see her mom even though he didn't recognize her as a daughter. She couldn't say her last goodbye, so she couldn't even go to her funeral. She didn't deserve to be treated like that.

This actress portrayed her so perfectly I was awestruck . The young, devout girl raised not only to be a Queen, but a King, and then tossed aside like garbage . Her agony was so heartrendingly portrayed. I wanted a follow up series showing the rest of her life, because we only got a glimpse of the anger and sadness rising from within her that would eventually consume even her body. Elizabeth used to be my favorite Queen, but this portrayal made me love Mary too.
