"Tiktok has made me feel X about my body" is so common and I think it needs to be analyzed. Also love the more frequent vids Snitch!

I think the contrast with prairie style dress or girly style against very tattooed skin looks super cool.

My arms have a lot of “masculine” bold tattoos and I dress very feminine. The juxtaposition is really interesting to look at!!! I love it

Don't let the status quo sway you, you rock the cottage core dress and i bet you look incredible in formal wear!

I honestly adore the contrast of bad ass tattoos and feminine/girly clothes so I honestly didn't even know so many people felt this way

I think this perfectly encapsulates why we need to embrace individual style versus the hyper fast micro-trend cycle. I am sure you’d look stunning all and all

The problem is forcing people to feel like they don’t fit in just due to the way their skin looks/body looks with tattoos. People on social media suck

The whole "feeling of your body not matching the aesthetic/style you're going for" is honestly the biggest reason I get discouraged when I try to recreate outfits on my own body because I'm a short, very curvy midsized gal and all the aesthetics I love are more androgynous which frankly I just cant pull off in the same way with my body shape (which is also heavily tatted but they give me more confidence so i cant relate on that front but i can relate on the general idea)

As another heavily tattooed female with some regrets you’re definitely not alone

I’m going on month 3 with no tiktok. If anyone was thinking of deleting it for a while this is your sign! First few weeks were boring but I am SO HAPPY without it now. I have less anxiety, more confidence and I don’t waste nearly as much time on my phone. Do itttt

I totally understand how you feel, but I adore you and your tattoos! You're the reason I felt ccomfortable enough to get a hand tattoo the other day! I honestly think that tatted up girls in formal outfits are just everything for me! One day I wanna be a hella tatted up princess bride type cutie! Just LOVE you!

Tattooed female here; last summer I was invited as a guest to a black tie wedding, with a man who also had tattoos but for reasons similar to yours, I felt like I needed to cover up my tattoos to be seen as “elegant” or “high class”. Luckily I really do like long sleeve formal dresses, but I still wish that I didn’t feel the need to do that. This has also affected my dating life and tends to attract a certain type of alternative partner to me always, which isn’t always what I’m attracted to. The struggle, you are definitely not alone!

I have a tendency to over-shop when i’m inspired and i’ve had to realize that i can appreciate something without owning it. and you can appreciate a style without wearing it. i have to remind myself like “girl you don’t see a da vinci painting and think dear god i need to own that painting” you can appreciate aesthetics in their own space.

i can relate in the feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes because of tattoos. but this video made me sad :(( as a heavily tattooed cosplayer myself, you’re my biggest idol when it comes to the scene. you always make me feel comfortable to cosplay with my tattoos

I think a big factor of why we think like this is the connotations associated with tattoos that have been ingrained in us. I’m young and I’m aware that I may hate my tattoos when I’m older but the reassurance that each tattoo represents a part of me during a time of my life makes me happy they’re a part of me. I’ve obsessed trying to find my style and not really fully fitting into a core. I’m still trying to learn that fitting into core maybe just isn’t for me :)

1. I feel like tattoos make you 10x hotter in any situation including formalwear. I went to a work party and my dress had a big leg slit that showed off my very tattooed leg and it felt so sexy!!!
2. The cores and the cycles are so destructive, that now personality types, bodies, feelings, and even neuroticisms come in and out of vogue. I feel like younger zoomers are feeling this sense of coveting and curation, rather than a personal wholeness, in ways that I can't even imagine as a 26 y/o. I really worry for them if you and I are also feeling these effects.

I stopped using social media esp tik tok a long time ago and this made me extra glad cuz this is some wild brain rot (not your fault) but your tattoos don't mean you can't pull of literally any look you want and I'm sad that social media is making you upset with your body and your choices. You look amazing in any style you want to wear.

The trend cycle is definitely a problem, both for mental health and environmental health. TikTok makes us want to be influenced and buy things that we won’t even use. The surgeries that people are getting for trends are just further proof of that problem. You’re stunning and deserve to feel amazing 🖤🧿

i feel like i’ve always loved juxtaposition so i love a frilly pink dress so much more when it’s on someone tatted up with black boots or a leather jacket with a little skirt and frilly pink hair 👁️

I always thought people got tattoos to show the world they didn’t care what other people thought. I always respected that. Listening to you made me realise that some people have tattoos to feel included, to feel accepted and now fashion has changed it has become a deep scar.

as a heavily tattooed woman, I LOVE the look of big bold tatts contrasting against flirty feminine fits, and how it drives home a femme fatale vibe too. It brings a little personalized edge to it all

I also enrich my instagram feed with numerous tatted baddies of all style flavors- so maybe that would help! Controlling the content you consume so that you don’t feel left out could be worth a try
