Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is an infection caused by the retrovirus "Human Immunodeficiency Virus" (HIV).
This disease is characterized by severe immunosuppression, making the patient susceptible to various opportunistic infections, malignancies and neurological disorders.
