Police are getting a number of tips about a car they've been looking for that was seen in the area on the night of the attack.

Hyundai can tell them all whites cars that are registered within 100 miles. The DMV for the State of Idaho can help narrow it down as well. They will catch the person or people involved.

I am not hearing good things about the chief of police in this case. He is reported to be "overwhelmed" by this crime and the investigation.

The problem with reports like this is it also lets the suspect know that they know what he was driving, if they hadn't dumped it or torched it after committing the crimes you can bet they will now.

Why wouldn't the car owner come forward? Certainly they know of the murders and that they were nearby that night. Very suspicious.

Can we all agree if they find the person that did this we all push for the death penalty? The person is obviously a psychopath and will do this again.

He said hundreds of calls have come in concerning vehicle they have to get through all tips .it's still possible it could break the case who knows

This is a serial killer under the strict definition. This person has killed before the UI4. All the victims were on the top floor. Two girls in one room, the other two in the other. The red liquid dripping down the foundation wall from the 2nd floor bedroom is heating medium for radiant floor heat. The two survivors were on the first floor, with the dog, dog sitting. The killer came in through the open sliding glass door on the second floor. The killer probably saw the lights go on and off upstairs, he may have even seen his intended target in that time, through the window. It would be worthwhile to check the router log. *Police told reporter that the red liquid was heating oil, it isn't heating oil- it is oil used to heat. It stays red, even when exposed to oxygen. It came from the floor and room where Xana and Ethan would have been, except that Kaylee had vacated her room upstairs, because she was moving out, so Kaylee was in the other room with her friend Madison and the couple were in the other heated room upstairs. The upstairs rooms were very visible from the woods. The killer would have been able to watch the 4 return 2 by 2 and where they went by watching the lights turn on and off. The Father at the memorial service spoke about the two girls dying in the same bed. Another officer familiar with the scene told a reporter that all of the victims were upstairs on the third floor. The survivors told witnesses and police that the sliding glass door was open. The dog, was uninjured, did not try to flee or bark, and was sent directly to the shelter, it was not part of evidentiary collection. As the girls planned on being out very late, it would be logical that they made arrangements for the dog to be taken care of, and it would not be likely that they would have woken up the dog-sitter to get the dog at 3 am.

I don’t understand why police or FBI don’t go to DMV and find out who is the owner of that car. It has been a month, that car might be long gone or the wound from the victims might be healed by now. What if nobody comes forward as it has been more than 24 hours.

If not an uber, maybe a rental car, can’t they check who in area owns a car or who rented a car like this one? If a killer drove in it, they will not come forward

At this point whoever was driving that car HAS to be involved somehow. The entire country knows about this car so the fact that PD hasn’t identified that specific car or its occupants says to me that they know police are looking for them. im sure someone who knows the person driving that car are toeing the line with getting charged with aiding and abetting or an accessory after the fact.

To old to be a rental car at this point, but, it probably USED to be a rental car. Many of those were rental cars when they came out.

If the owner of that car did it. It's chopped by now. They ain't driving it after seeing all this on the news.

This is just sad. Let’s find a white car that is very common with no license plate number.
