I haven't been back to church in so long till last year Something in me felt something missing again for the longest time and seeing how the world is now and how their using religion and faith and GOD in a distorted way.i will be returning to church this year :0 thank you for this beautiful message leaders. grateful that despite all ive been through i felt divinely protected.this really is the true church having seen and witnessed how so many faiths i do not mean to compare but GOD is not to be mocked. and im grateful the gospel of jesus christ remains despite peoples weaknesses and spiritual blindness and blocks. so much darkness out there, but more light and i want to be immersed in that light again :) and love everyone as GOD does and our church and prophet and leaders teach everyone to love thy neighbour as thyself and the lord. im still learning but im grateful for the lord in my life and this gospel.

I don't know how I feel about the LDS church because it's so different in structure and leadership than the traditional Christian church. Personally, I find several issues with Mormon theology such as a lack in Joseph Smith's credibility and the belief that a person is destined to one of six places while the bible references two, heaven and hell. At the end of revelation, the angel speaking to John says "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." However, the book of Mormon clearly makes some interesting statements that seem to add on to what John says will happen in the end times. I am in the protestant church currently as I feel like the doctrine presented aligns itself better with Jesus's teachings, but if anyone would like to debate with me or argue these points go ahead, I'm glad to listen.

While the tag line sounds good, the reality of the church is something different. They speak of Jesus and God sometimes, but who they really want you to look toward is the church leaders. On your average Sunday, Jesus might be quoted maybe once, but the church leaders are quoted over and over again, with almost all talks and all class lessons being based on previous talks by the church leaders. Spend a few years in the church and you'll find that regardless of what they say in their promotional pieces, who the church really wants you to worship is the church leaders and the church itself.
