Actually, thank you for showing this television with the lights on. We all know it will look amazing in the dark. You're being honest by displaying it under less-than-ideal lighting conditions. We all know these 840 models have very reflective surfaces and are best viewed in perfectly dark rooms, but most of us will be viewing them with some lighting. I can only imagine how good it will look at night in total darkness. Thanks again for keeping it realistic and not trying to make it look perfect

I personally believe Mitsubishi will be coming out with a 102 inch 3D Rear Projection version, hopefully as soon as next year. I have noticed how the prices of the 92 inch model have been dropping during these past few months, particularly on Amazon and Ebay. I can't wait until next year for the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show to arrive, to see if Mitsubishi does sneak out with a 102 inch Model for next summer. Well see, only time will tell.

These are nice TV's for the money. I have the 60 inch in my bedroom and am satisfied. I had a 65 inch in DLP in my living room and had to keep the shades closed at all times. That 1 wasn't a Mitsubishi but all of them are much better in dark rooms. They are great for the money but surely not an LED. I replaced my 65 inch with an 80 inch Sharp LED, best TV out there for the money, size, and picture quality.

@gatocrib The 840 is a 2011-2012 model and is now discontinued. These models are no longer in production and are being cleared out and are heavily discounted. the 842 models are the brand new 2012-2013 replacement models. The new 842 models feature a built-in bluetooth RF transmitter, which expands the number & brands of compatible 3-D glasses.

Wow, that is one mammoth monstrosity of a TV.. I definitely got to get myself one of these Instant Theater Jumbo Trons for my living room. Hopefully these beasties will drop down in price by Christmas. Imagine watching Star Wars on this thing, especially in 3D.

@ONECALL
Right camera doesn't do the TV justice cause of the blue.. But as a Mitsubishi DLP owner and someone who had to go see one in person to see how good it was, I'm just saying, had I seen one of these in a commercial the way it was meant to be seen, I wouldn't have had to drive to my local Ultimate Electronics. I'm not griping to gripe either. My reason is this, not many local stores carry these, showing them in a light controlled room would boost picture quality 100 percent.

Ditto on that my friend. This 92 inch Mammoth Jumbo Tron TV completely dwarfs my 56 inch, nearly double it's size. Securing become my top priority, especially with the holiday seasons coming up. Or better yet, maybe I will wait until after the holidays and the prices start coming down, just in time for the Superbowl. Watching a game on that sucker will be like having your very own personal skybox, the main centerpiece to any room, den, or mancave.

Agreed.. if the TV isn't good in a bright room then customers should know this.

Also, I just found out that the entire Star Wars saga is coming out on Blu Ray on Sept 16, which is all the more reason for me to secure one of these bad boys. What would really give this HDTV the 4D Experience is if it were hooked up to one of those Motion Code Systems, in which your theater chair or sofa is modified to move and react to the movements of the movie you are watching, very similar to the Star Tours 3D Ride at Disneyland.
