great timing! We just mounted up some bindings on my son's new board, and different bindings onto my old board, to get ready for this season. We will definitely plan to have tools with us on the mountain, so we can adjust the stance some to get it just right, especially for the first day out on new setups. I started with mine at +12/-9 I believe, and we started his in similar angles. My old 90s board doesn't have markings for reference stance, but I went based off where the old bindings had been. For my son's board it does have those markings, but the reference stance seemed too wide for him so we moved the front back one hole to narrow the stance a touch, which should effectively give it a bit of setback... Let me know if you have any suggestions for how to go about fine tuning the setups or how to know what to possibly change. I ride goofy but do go switch a decent bit, my son is very new and so far is regular, but we will be trying some switch to make sure he is actually more comfortable riding regular.... Lookout opened Friday, and weather shows a lot of good chance of precipitation coming in the next week or two, so I'm hopeful that we can get out for our first day in the next 2-3 weeks. Just a heads up, your Clew discount code doesn't work. I tried to use it last night when I purchased a set of Clew Freedom 1.0 bindings. The box just goes red and text pops up saying to enter a valid discount code... I tired all different caps/no-caps, space/no-space combinations and none of them worked.

I was super torn on which version of step-in bindings I wanted go with and watched probably over 20 different review videos comparing all of them. Ultimately, I decided to go with Clew after watching like 4-5 of your videos where you consistently talk about how much you like them and go super in depth into all the pros, cons, misconceptions, etc.. and cover them really well! Your videos were definitely the deciding factor on me choosing Clew as I was leaning pretty heavily towards a different brand before watching your vids.

I know you probably get kickbacks (or at the very least it helps you keep your sponsorship) when people purchase with your code, so I would wanna know it's not working if it were me. How do you know which holes to use? do you move both out on screw hole until you get to your stance width?

I have used the clew bindings for 1 season now but the problem I have is, they almost always only clip into the first lever. it is problematic when snow accumulate around that area.

The channel content is such good quality. You need to invest into a decent lappel microphone for the audio quality to match the content.

Have you ever cracked a board from a rough landing with a hard corner like that on the base of those clew bindings?😂
I’ve injured a few boards back in the day when bindings use to have hard sharp plastic corners like that. Still have my old 06 Burton seven with a crack from the bindings on a rough landing. Rides fine but sucks. That alone would make me question the binding; that’s a super big pressure point issue in my eyes but like I said I’ve broke boards with binding bases like that. Not a good design in todays binding engineering standards
