What is the biggest challenge for the Democrat Party right now?

That debate was a blessing in disguise for the Dems. The decline in Biden’s condition from the State of the union to the debate seemed pretty massive

4:30 Reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend back in 2020. The day before the election. Him "I'm so sick of hearing this political crap. I can't wait until tomorrow when it's over." Me "Are you kidding? Tomorrow is when the real "fun" starts." I had no idea the fallout of that election would still be going on FOUR YEARS LATER

11:03 I’m actually sympathetic to the argument that a vote for Biden in the primary would be a vote for Harris if she was to be selected as his VP. Since that was almost certainly the case and Biden has come out to endorse her, I think it would be reasonable to read “shall reasonably reflect the will of the voters” as “primary voters understood that, in the event President Biden was incapacitated, passed away, or was otherwise adjudged to be incapable of performing the duties and faculties of the Office of the President, Vice President Harris would be sworn in as the duly appointed President of the United States” and thus allow them to cast their ballots for Harris only. The only other possible way to determine the true will of the voters would be ranked choice.

As a British person 🇬🇧 where party members elect their leaders, it so confuses me but also intrigues me how you guys in the states 🇺🇸 have these primaries, caucuses and all that to elect your nominee!!!

Dems might have delayed their convention in order to miss Paris Olympics. Could lower the ratings.

I think the most telling thing about how little there's actually a question, is that most of this video is focused on the hypothetical of if he dropped out after the convention, with barely any of the video focusing on what's actually happening

Well all I got to say is this regarding to politics. Whoever is or becomes the nominee. I surely hope that either candidate does well and doesn’t mess up the country even more, but given the circumstances it’s easily to say who would likely destroy our country less than candidate. Which is why I’m going for at this point, unfortunately.

I'm thinking Kamala Harris--Andy Beshear perhaps.

I find it interesting that the last time they had a real conflicted convention for the Democrats it was held in Chicago this year it's going to be like that again and once again it's held in Chicago

a lot of class actions are settled out of court. and I wouldn't be surprised if there are agreements about not spreading it too much. in the sense of "ok, we agree to giving everyone an Xbox repair. but only if they actually come to us and demand it. don't advertise it or there will be too many". something like that, you know?

As I've been referring to it with my friends: the craziest election in my lifetime with the least important outcome in my lifetime.

None of them are gonna do a thing about the big issues Americans care about and are struggling over the most.

I'm normally pretty open about what my politics are, but I'll keep it close to the chest in here so this doesn't devolve into a huge argument. I think I've phrased everything pretty neutrally so far.

Let's just say there's a reason the biggest voting bloc is nonvoters.

On the class action lawsuit thing, the youtube channel Loading Ready Run recently did a short comedy vid about not knowing who's entitled to compensation. It's not the kind of thing that would make sense to react to, but it might be amusing to watch on your own time. It's part of their "Crapshots" series under the title "Financial Compensation."

For me as a non American it baffles me what weirdness there is around dropping out of a race. Where I'm from someone drops out and that's it, there is no "possible legal issues" around it. Granted where I'm from the party would also kick out a person running for office if they have a mental decline. It wouldn't require the person to drop out by themselves.

You should totally cover his other videos. The one about the Chicago seven was actually really good.

Definitely, Not Trump. At this point, the dems could run a mannequin with a tape player strapped to it and it'd still do pretty well.
