Hyper-V is Microsoft's hardware virtualization product. It lets you create and run a software version of a computer, called a virtual machine. In order to set up and configure Hyper-V support on Windows Server 2022, you have to add it as a role service via the Windows Server Manager. Join Adam as he guides you through how to use the Windows Server Manager in Windows Server 2022 to set up the Hyper-V role using Nested Virtualization support.

Hello Adam, great video!
I just got one question: Is there a way to get WSL2 running on Windows Server 22 Datacenter?

Thank you and best regards
Jan

Hi, I have installed Hyper-V on Windows 10. It has Ubuntu 18.04 as guest in it. It is using external virtual switch. Internet is working fine in guest. I am able to ping guest's IP from Windows host and vice versa. I am currently unable to reach IIS default website or a simple DotNet API service listening on port 5000 running on Windows host from the guest (Ubuntu). I have tried creating inbound firewall rule as well. I am able to browse the Apache web server running in Ubuntu from Windows Host . I have tried using "telnet 192.168.1.100 5000" command, but it is returning connection timed out.

Is there anything I am still missing? If anyone can help me out with this, it would be really helpful.
