Hey Chris, firstly you are doing a wonderful job. Especially for those new people getting into music production or mixing, the first questions they would run into would be there is always something better than logic so to get a better sound, CHANGE YOUR DAW. I have been using logic professionally for music production and sound design for the last 8 years now and I am still learning something new every day. The way you explain things is what we actually need in a tutorial. Keep up the good work brother!!

Very very useful! It's time for a video about mastering and all the mess about loudness and different levels for each streaming service or cd purpose. I'd really appreciated! Keep on going this way. Thank you

This is fascinating and gives options of which I was totally unaware. Guess I need to experiment more!

How about if i set me "output ceiling" - 0.6. while "gain and "lookahead" both sit at 0.0? What happens?

So do you turn on overload protection when your tracking guitar bass and vocals?

I tried adding the limiter in the same way but it made no difference to the stereo out. It's still on red. I'll keep searching for an answer.

Thx Chris! Hey so I mic'd a guitar amp to record guitar with sm57. Interface and Logic both show clipping. I reduce gain on Interface just below clipping. But on playback the dB level is waaay lower than the recording dB level. And to hear it well on playback I have to turn volume ask the way up. Do you know or anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thx

Ok, I get it that if you are clipping on an individual track but have the gain down on the Stereo Out (SO) then you are not clipping the SO. But, you are still sending a distorted signal to the SO, correct? It almost seems that you are saying that as long as the SO is not clipped, then neither is the individual track. Thanks for the vid.

what if it’s clipping after overload protection?

Hi! When my audio sometimes clips how come it doesn't turn to orange but it turns red? I'm doing input monitoring though. This is when I'm mixing as I usually get hot recordings.

When mastering in logic pro -during saving the file the volume gets over writed with normalization .Is there any option to change the final volume/dbl? Or any plugin that can help?

I play my song through my phone it’s really quiet. I turn the gain up and it starts clipping and distorts. It’s very frustrating.

Would you please do a video on whether to update to Catalina or not?

I like some of the clipping on those guitars - gives em beef/attitude. The clipped drums compression - the clipping seems to do what some plugins do on purpose for effect.
