Toyota knows how to build hybrid cars. The fact that millions of them are now on the road is enough
to prove they are #1 for hybrids. We have 2 hybrids, a 2022 RAV 4 Prime (plug in ) and a 2020 Highlander Hybrid model LE AWD. My wife and I purchased a new 2010 Prius in 2009 and put over 180, 000 miles on it.

Three years ago we sold it to a friend who racked up 250, 000 miles all on the original traction battery and 12 volt battery as well. A few months ago during a storm a tree fell on the prius in his driveway and it was totaled. He told us the car still started even though it was totaled.

Mine hit 100, 000 miles today, 4 years, driving like new no part change at all, oil, fuel and tyre only

It's a pity about the seats..
My EU-spec Corolla has electric adjustable lumbar support which makes the seats very comfortable.
I agree about the road noise, that definitely could be better.
I had my tires changed to, according to tests, a quite silent one; the Michelin Primacy 4+ XL.
The noise reduction is significant.
Apart from that, a perfect car to me :)

changing oil every 5000 miles. Excellent! That will keep it running forever.

I'm pretty sure the corollas from that time cannot just hold the lane, you need to keep your hands on the steering wheel and pay attention. If you don't, the car starts beeping at you pretty intensely.

Adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping are related, but separate systems, and there are many cases where it can't keep track of the lane markers.

im at 162, 000 miles in my 2020 Corolla Hybrid. Only fluid changes have been done.

The gear is so soft because it's a E-CVT gear, and Toyota is the leader in both hybrids and cvt transmissions

Mine is european made (Turkey). The biggest flaw is the weak hood supporting structure. Takes a small pressure to damage beyond repair. Otherwise, it's a nice car.

Basically there are no gears but only a stepless planetwheel system, so it's all software and electronics. Because of that you have a maintenance free ' gearbox ', although it's advised to change the E-CVT oil every 100.000 kilometers.

Excellent review. This will be my next car for sure. And this color too.

@4.35 i like the part about seamless unnoticeable gear changes.... :) i guess its because its a variator type gearbox that doesnt actually change gears in a tradiotional way.

I have a 2020 toyota corolla xse and im approaching 150k miles i plan on replacing the transmission fluid and the coolant
Everything else you said like oil change and tires were nothing
But add on engine air filter and cabin air filter this is really a Great vehicle

If Toyota put in better seats this thing would be a road trip monster. I drove one on a 300 mile trip and it was way more fatiguing than it should have been.

I have a 2021, live in North Dakota. Great little car, getting 42mpg driving the piss out of it, 42k no problems at all, weak spot for me is road noise. Spent a lot on noise dampening.
