3 Trading Techniques with Tom Hougaard

Lesson one - check sheet: Every morning I go thru a pre-flight routine. I check for news - and am in particular interest in news which will affect the 'major' currencies, such as GBP/USD and EUR/USD but also USD/CHF. However I don't focus on the news itself but the response from the market. We examine some technical trading strategies that Tom uses for his trading.

Tom, for trading news why not put a limit order either side of the market just prior to the announcement. If you are filled, cool, you pick up the entire move. If you don’t get filled, you can do you getting in on a retracement.

Hi Tom, so when you say open a trade with the same trading size, you mean, like for example: 10 pounds a point for the dax and 20 pounds a point for the ftse as the ftse usually moves half as much than the dax ? Or still would be 10 points a point for each ? Talking about the second technique, arbitrage trade

Tom what is the moving average-is it 89sma or ema please. also what setting for stochastics/ chart is 1 min. thanks for the unconventional trading insight.if trading on 15 min chart we must look to 30 min chart for trend.
