More facts:
Studio Ghibli takes 2-5 years to make a film because Hayao Miyazaki and his crew experiments the animation and visit places in Asian countries for inspiration before actually writing the script (they mainly stay in Japan though).

Satoshi Kon takes 2 and a half years making his films because he dreams and thinks about what the script should be.

Some anime films based on TV anime like Naruto, One Piece, Demon Slayer and Dragon Ball take 5-8 months to make a film, though they concurrent the production of these films with the making of episodes for the Anime. (NOTE: I’ve heard that MAPPA rushes production of films to 4 months, really hangry for money.)

For The End of Evangelion, Hideaki Anno (Japanese filmmaker and tv producer, known for making the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime) had to take a break from his career after the negative reception of the last episode of the anime, he returned to make “The End” film on November of 1996 and production lasted for 8-9 months before release in July of 1997.

Mexican soap operas and telenovelas take 9-10 hours in a day to film an episode, but script problems and reshoots could arise and take 2 weeks to actually complete the episode.
