In an alternate dimension of Avatar, Katara leads a group of warriors from the southern water tribe to rescue her brother, Sokka from the Avatar
She gives a rallying war speech to increase the morale before dismissing them back to their duties
The captain stays back to speak with Katara and notes that the strong tides may cause them to arrive a day behind schedule
Katara asks if he knows why he was assigned to her vessel and when he responds that he is unsure, she reminds him that he is one of the best captains in the whole southern fleet and reaffirms her faith in him and his capabilities
The captain is clearly captivated by Katara’s charm and claims they will not fail her and will work twice as hard so that they can even arrive ahead of schedule
Katara smiles and thanks the captain, dismissing him after once again commending his loyalty and dedication to the cause
As he walks away Suki approaches and praises Katara for her constant ability to manipulate the people around her to get what she wants
Katara gives her a devious smile and tells Suki to do her a favor and summon the four lowest ranked guards as well as Lady Hama
She wants to spend some free time honing her forbidden ability, BLOODBENDING

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

Interesting take on the duality of Azula(original) and Katara(distorted). Both of them use different tactics to maintain loyalty with the soldiers as villains. Azula is as intimidating as she looks similar to her native element, fire. Katara does the opposite. Similar to water, she is calm to hide her icy demeanor. This is brilliant!

This is really a parallel to how azula mentions the tides in the first episode of book 2.
But instead of controlling with fear, the writer of this comic really knows how to twist katara into manipulating not with fear but making the guards feel compelled into serving her. It's way scarier than what azula has ever done.

She's even more dangerous than Azula. She can inspire her men to die for her, and she outright experiments on her minions using her abilities, something Azula does not do.
