I think the most important point about Joe Manchin is that his daughter, Heather Bresch, is the CEO of Mylan. A company that raised the price of EpiPens to $600 then slashed the price in half when Congress started sniffing her down. She was 22nd in of list of Forbes most powerful women in 2015 and her annual salary alone, as of 2017, was over $12.7 mil. She's retiring soon, but I'm sure she has plenty invested in the company and may continue on as a board member, so don't completely write off her commitment yet. Call me crazy, but all of this may have something to do with why he doesn't want to lower or negotiate drug prices, and hates the idea of Medicare For All.
Sure, with Trump kids get locked in cages... But, silver lining, this guy gets to keep his tax cuts and his multimillionaire daughter happy, so to hell with Bernie. 🙃🙃🙃
