Joe Manchin Endorses Republican, Trashes Build Back Better In GOP Ad

Senator Joe Manchin endorses a Republican candidate who opposes the Build Back Better bill. Joe Manchin's numbers have gone up in West Virginia—17 points. Morning counsel said that 50% of voters approve of Manchin as opposed to 40% last quarter. This does not mean that he’s going to win his re-election bid in 2024 because Republicans like a Republican better. But it does give you a sense of how Joe Manchin is operating. He is a Republican. It’s not like he’s a Democrat who disappointingly leans right, he’s an actual republican. He’s a rich guy who could either risk letting a democrat win in his state and maybe impose taxes or environmental controls on his buisiness, or run as the democrat himself. All it requires is a lack of scruples.
