Quick lesson on how-to tie the perfect cleat hitch every time! #knots #rope #boats
Transcript provided for the hearing impaired:
OK so you're going to want to take the -- take the tail of the rope and go around three hundred and sixty degrees and do a cross-over. Then go behind the horn and cross over again. When you get to the other side you want to just turn a little loop into it like that and pull on it. And you have a perfect cleat hitch.

Thanks Dan! I thought I'd experiment with super short no frills knot vids.
My primary use for the knot is securing boats to dockside cleats. But cleats can be useful on flagpoles, tarpaulins, covered wagons, pickup trucks, and even window blind pull strings. Buy cleats cheap at the hardware store and use them to secure whatever rope needs tying off. Thanks for commenting!

I thought I would upload this (first of the Hot Knots series) while I'm struggling to complete my (much more ambitious) "Truckers' Hitch" video (coming soon!).

nice video but it could use a little more detail such as what the knot is primarily used for. Anyway good vid and thanks for teaching me the new knot! :)
