LG Magic Remote wheel/button - REPAIR

I replaced the broken plastic shaft with a barbecue stick.

Amazing!!! Just saved me $30. Did it exactly how you did only I used a tooth pick and just glued the inside of wheel to it and then was able to push the tip thru the other hole on remote. No sanding. But dude your a life saver I never would have thought to drill out the wheel n use dowel. I was tryn to glue piece plastic to end of wheel. FYI it didn’t work. lol. Thanx again!

This tutorial was awesome. No Bs, straight to the point and easy to follow.

I didnt have drill to make the hole so I used small screw to make the hole by screwing it into the plastic from closed end and then removed it. That said, if you can get small drill use that! Much easier and less time consuming and risk to break the wheel.

Amazing. Quick Tip for me: For opening controller use credit card from the bottom up, and use toothstick it’s much easier to cut size also with nails clipper and adjust with small knife . Cheers

I too fixed an LG remote with a toothpick! Shaved it down with a single edge razor blade and jammed it in.
