The Dangote Refinery is an oil refinery owned by Dangote Group that was inaugurated on 22 May 2023 in Lekki, Nigeria. When fully operational, it is expected to have the capacity to process about 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day, making it the largest single-train refinery in the world.

The tests showed that diesel produced by the Dangote Refinery actually has 87.6ppm of sulphur, whereas the imported ones have between 18,000 and 2000ppm of sulphur, thus making them highly toxic and really unfit for use. For this reason, the lawmakers demanded that the NMDPRA boss needed to be sacked.
