The $20 billion Dangote Refinery, the largest in Africa, has struggled with crude oil shortages and allegations of contaminated fuel. Nigerian lawmakers have launched an investigation into these claims, examining the refinery's operations and the role of regulatory bodies. This complex dispute highlights deep-rooted issues in Nigeria's oil sector and its impact on the country's economy and foreign investment prospects.

As a Nigerian, I feel extremely disappointed in the Nigerian authorities. Just how long would it take to build something like this again and come this far? But they still want to allow the mafia to sabotage it. What a shame

Even billionaires get frustrated by the Nigerian system. I thought it was only the common man.

I'm 48years old living in California, I'm hoping to retire at 50 if things keep going well for me. Bought my first house last month and I can't be more proud that am i now. I'm glad I made great decision about my finances that changed me forever but now I can't seem to make any other smart investment.

Dangote has taken away someone's meal ticket and they're now retaliating. Africa is truly lost.

Dangote’s product has 78 ppm(parts per million) while imports have 1500 ppm. Meaning his has 78 impurities in 1million units compared to the one the Nigerian government imports which has 1500 units of impurities per 1 million. Hence his product is way, way higher quality.
I had no idea that he has to source crude oil from outside Nigeria. Oh what a shame.😢

Not only Nigerians all africans stand with Dangote. Aliko Dango is a pride for all Africa and by extension all black man. This behavior of Nigerian authorities is really a big shame. All african panafircanists should stand as one man through a large petition to condamne this shameful act of Nigerian Government.

Its a pity because the authority that is supposed to fight for Dangote has brothers and accomplices in the oil industry who are billionares because of the rot. The silence of the supposed defender says it all.

I am a young African and I have lived with Ghanaians, Nigerians, and most West Africans. I can say for a fact that young Africans understand standing together better than these old folk. It's about time millennials took charge and educated ourselves to take over from these guys because I say with authority that if we did this, we would do a better job than this. because we understand that it's about time Africa united for a common cause and not one-sided because of thinking of just individual pockets.
