Did You Know In HARRY POTTER…

The magic clock in the Weasley home shows a "Dentist" label. It's a running joke in the series that the Wizarding world has no idea what dentists are and what they do. But in this case, it's possible that the label was added by Arthur Weasley, a Muggle Studies anthropologist who could easily have learned about dentists through his studies. Probably the most saddening part of the books is Hermione’s life. Rowling even said she and Ron are in for lots of marriage counseling. This is after Hermione lost both her parents when she had to Obliviate them.

It's foreshadowing. Hermione's parents were dentists. And having dentists in the family clock meant they were going to be at the dentists in future.
