3kW just from your devices on standby? No way. Please list devices that take up that much power in your home while on standby? A 50" TV uses just 0.2W on standby, a Sky Q Box just 0.5W, a microwave is around 1W and a phone charger is so low I can't even get a reading above 0. If you actually meant 3kWh/day then I still don't see how you can clock up that much from standby unless your house is a 40 room hotel.

Mate I swapped all the downligters, all the lamps, all the outside lights to LED and once your electricity goes up 30% as it has in Australia, I'm paying the same and more as before. Something just doesn't add up anymore.

Rough ballpark figure is 1 EUR/GBP/USD per each Watt consumed 24/7/365. So if your device consumes 0, 5 W of power, it equates to that much money in a year.
