im sorry if the prices in this short were unclear, maybe the font was too small. the total amount at the end is what i spent using my own money. it excludes the lunch + coffee that my partner paid for (which i listed as free)

im sorry if you found it distasteful that he covered my ¥1000 lunch, i thought it’s common for even friends to treat each other

btw - remote work, flex time, students, etc exist. not everyone has a traditional 9-5 schedule 😊

I hate to defend creators She’s there on a special visa for top 100 global university educated individuals that have ~$1, 200 USD to basically just fuck around and promote Japan. This is her job and the government specifically wants her (and others like JapanEat) to be doing this.

why are people mad? She is having a good life, and of course, she will post all the good and fun events on YouTube. Would you guys want her to post tedious daily routines?

The food looks very delicious, and I do not understand why there is so much vinegar in the comments. Please enjoy your life, pigallisme

Your man/partner treated you to a coffee and lunch while he went back to work? Nothing wrong with that lmao. Whether he gave you his card or not, my man does that too, and literally there’s nothing wrong with it because it was HIS choice with HIS card. The people in the comments are pressed for no reason!! What a lovely day you had <33 love ur videos!!!

omg the comments are full of extremely jealous people - just be happy for someone else! she's not hurting anyone or exploiting anyone! she's a student! and it's normal for romantic partners and friends to treat each other!

You have such a soothing voice I mean no offence or to sound a weirdo ive watched a few of your videos and your voice is so soothing and therapeutic its better than most Asmr guys. Ive never felt like drifting off because of someone's soft voice. Youd be great at Asmr 😊👍

If people are mad or jealous when they see stuff like this, they should just turn off their phone and go out and do something meaningful in this wonderful world.

In most Asian countries it is common for the man-friend/boyfriend to pay for the meal of the woman with him and they often insist to pay. It's actually rude if the man expects the woman to split the bill. It's unlike Americans and Europeans where every expense is split between man and woman. Lucky Asian women.

Kimchi fried rice is also my plans for dinner! With spam and a chai bubble tea. Great minds think alike!

Folks, money is status in Japan, he's showing off to her, not she's taking advantage of him.

I mean if someone offered to pay for my food I'd take them up on it.

genuinely why do people hop onto the internet to purposely and close mindely judging others without further investigation its actually shocking ngl💀

Just came back from visiting from Japan and can confirm that compared to USA prices, it was HELLA CHEAP. Pretty sure my average for any meal/snacks/drinks was usually about 2, 000¥, maybe a little more. I can see how easy it would be to live on less 100$ there.

I must say that it is NORMAL for a romantic partner to gift food-drinks. What really bugs people is that this is a working day in Japan, she doesn’t appear to have a job, meanwhile she gets to live a pretty pampered day spending more than most of us can afford within one day on our developing-country-salary. However, I would celebrate her sincerity. I wouldn’t have the courage to admit the good things in life I receive for free from people around me out of fear of being cursed or jealous of.
