great video. I came to Copenhagen, wonderful city, but I thought it would be more expensive. I am from Sydney and saw on your list that Copenhagen is equal 10th with Sydney, so that makes sense! ha ha

Thank you for this video! This is actually a lot less than I thought knowing how expensive it is there, especially the food and gym expenses. I just came back from a Copenhagen trip and fell in love with the city. I visited many other European cities and have never felt as safe and relaxed anywhere else. I kind of guessed I'd like it there, but had no idea it was that chill and nice and just the right amount of everything. It's not something you can really see in the videos or photos before you visit. I'm not from EU though and self-employed as a digital creator, so if I scoured the internet correctly chances are low that I could come to live there 👀 If you know anything about it, would love if you could cover it in a vid!

Your apt is still a bit more affordable than what you would get in LA. I just looked at a 1 br condo online, 643 sq ft in West Hollywood & with taxes, insurance and HOA fees the monthly payment would be $3723 a month and thats with a 20% down payment. Payments would be even higher with less down. Interest rates are very high in the USA. 2 br condos are like 650-700k+ Median house price is 1 mil.

Jeez, why is it so expensive?? I cant image having 3 kids there.

What is the median salary for a young professional couple over there? That’s the only way to appreciate how expensive it really is

3000 $ per month split in 2 is not that much. The cost of the apartment is such a big chunk of it though.

If you live on the East Coast or New England in the US, the rent actually sounds comparable.

Could you mention how much you put down on your apartment? Helps with the concept of monthly expense after

Gammel video men!
Det er da godt nok dyrt i København..
Bor I Jylland, og her kan du få et helt hus for 4-5 tusind om måneden, hvis ik mindre eller mere..

Interesting, only it was not always clear if the cost is per person or per couple.

In my opinion Copenhagen is a great city, but is hugely overpriced in almost everything.
There's so many better cities worldwide, that offer more & for considerably less.
Many Danish people move overseas for a better value cost of living.

Seems strange you've settled there, when you've travelled many other countries, that in my opinion are better suited to all but the glamerous lifestyles of Scandanavia & Denmark.

didn't actually catch where do you live exactly now?:) but honestly, we got it:) You live in København :) + you say "so many amazing restaurants" and next laine "We never eat out" soo you don't really know is your restaurants good or not. All in all seems like there is no point for you to live in Denmark. Move to Tallinn or smth, if your main goal is to save some money better just downgrade the cost of living and rent out your flat.
I am originally from Saint Petersburg (the one in Russia, not the US:) and moved because of war and truuust me, Tallin now is better than Copenhagen. Weather is a bit better, prices 2 cheaper, lots of young people, strong IT crowd, super safe and so on and on.
Annnd all in all super agree with the fact that full-time nomadic life actually sucks. Especially for the type of people with our skin tone lol, it takes me like 20 minutes to get sunburns, I believe you have the same troubles in Asia lol:)

my piece of advice is to consider Eastern Europe or Baltics, for real. You get a pretty Western way of life for the price of Asia. Consider Prague, Budapest, Tallin, Vilnus, Warsaw, these are pretty darn amazing cities for life. Maybe Croatia too, if you in dire need of the sun:)
