Clark Kent and Superman are "seperate". Clark Kent has to change into superman. If they were the same than Clark Kent wouldn't have to change to fly. (literally and figuratively)

He argument becomes false when it's about external thing, not when it's about your own self, so you answer to his argument was fallacious.

The analogy at the end was horrible, since Clark kent is super man, and descarte would not deny this. The dna would be identical, the finger print, the birth mark, every aspect of superman to Clark Kent is the same. Super man can be reduced to Clark Kent. Intentionality can’t be reduced to atoms, energy, space. A cause must in part contain the effect in question, namely consciousness. Matter Lacks consciousness. The brain is nothing more than a clump of atoms, thus consciousness and brain are identity unique. Any materialistic reductionist attempt will necessarily end in a conflation between syntax and semantics. This is the obstacle the materialist can’t seem to get their minds past. Having matter arranged in a certain configuration is not the same as intentionality.
