SDI you are the only one stating it’s ok to still fill out 21 N1 answer and 21N2 leave blank others imply Leave 21N1and 21N2 blank

Hey FYI, on question 21, the section in the brackets actually says to leave 21n1 and 21n2 blank if you are a US citizen. The way they wrote question 21 its almost guaranteed to be miss marked.

I might suggest leaving sample forms on the counter of the 4473, then customers can take them home and read them at leisure, especially if they answered the form wrong give them a copy to take home. People are notorious for not reading thoroughly. I know they can get the forms online, but having one in paper in your hands would be a better learning experience for the customer.

Everyone saying you leave 21 M1 blank apparently cannot read instructions as it states on page 5- Question 21.m. Immigration Status: If you are a U.S. citizen/national, it is appropriate to answer "No" to question 21.m.1. and to leave question 21.m.2. blank.

I transfer firearms at Cabela's Some people do not even read the questions all the way through before answering and self deny A lot!!! Also make sure when you get your new Drivers License or CCW they will ask you to check it over for mistakes. Trust me... DO THAT because I see so many mistakes on CCW's and DL's or ID's like names or even streets misspelled or even numbers wrong.

You are not required to get a copy of the drivers license, background check or concealed carry, federally. Your state may require this but not all do. I agree it is a good idea but you made it sound like it is required. Also I use fast bound and I recommend it. It stops you from making all this mistakes.

Definition of US citizen as used on form 4473 is found in Title 5 united states code, a federal citizen. Then go read the Slaughter house court case to see the difference between a US citizen and a State Citizen.

Then ask yourself, am I even required by law to do a background check since the 4473 asks are you either a US citizen or Resident alien individual.

On a digital form 4473 and is there a waiting period till you can try again or does it completely prevent you from ever buying a firearm again?

Hi there. I was mistakenly answer wrong this question and got denied.
“Do you intend to sell or dispose of any firearms) listed on this form or any continuation sheets) to any person described in questions 21(b)-(1) or to a person described in question 21.m.1 who does not fall within a nonimmigrant alien exception?” I put “yes”
I know that is my fault but I did not mean it. I have no intention to sell or dispose any firearms to anyone.
At the section 20b: “Do you intend to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm listed on this form and any continuation sheets) in furtherance of any felony or other offense punishable by imprisonment for a term of more than one year, a Federal crime of terrorism, or a drug trafficking offense?” I already answer “NO”. I don’t know why they ask the question 21n again. That is really confused me and therefore I got it wrong. You are right. When I read that question 21n: I understand it this way: (I buy this firearm on this list me myself. I intend to buy this firearm on the list, I do not want to buy anything illegal outside of this list. That’s why I put yes.) Is there a way to fix this? Please help me out. 🙄

I Think I Got Denied From That Last Question Because I Marked “No” When I Should’ve Left It Blank, How Soon Can I Try To Purchase again ?

I just went into a store to purchase a gun yesterday and explain to them I had a concealed carry permit. I didn’t have to do a background check. They refused and made me fill out the information anyway then they said I missed something and they failed it and told me to come back in 30 days.
