Показать описание
Anna was a strong and determined athlete who had completed six marathons by the time of her spinal injury. Told she would never walk again, she commits to finding the will to live her life again.

Rehabilitation therapists at Sharp HealthCare in San Diego teach Anna how to maneuver a wheelchair and drive with hand controls. After mastering a hand cycle, Anna competes in the San Diego Rock ‘n Roll Marathon — finishing in less than three hours.

What an amazing story. The fact that someone can go through something like that and come out of it with that big, beautiful smile and drive is incredible. I hope she's doing well today. Such an inspiration. ❤️

Trying to get to a loved one quickly, when something traumatic has happened is the worst feeling...

I don't know how she makes it look so easy. I'm 20 and I'm losing one arm and I just can't take it. I just can't. I just pretend I'm ok cuz I know it's harder for my family and friends

Hello girl,
No idea if you will ever read this comment, but I just want to say how proud I am for your power and will to push on. You are a great inspiration for other humans. Paralysed is awful ofcourse, but your smile keeps sending positivity to everyone. God bless you and your amazing loving family. Big hug and much love from Dutchieland❤️

All the horrible things out there, the cancers, heart disease, dementia, etc. Spinal cord injuries are the most horrific.

I don't wish spinal cord injury on anyone. It is the worst of the worst.

Great video! Well done Anna. I have a T12/L1 sci so I know part of the journey. You have taken the approach that I take, in that I won’t let my injuries get in the way! Great to see 😀👊🇦🇺

Simply know it is different recovery for each individual, I wish they could have spent a bit more time with that aspect. Congratulations Anna.. Warriors, you can never keep them

You were the lucky one who got supported nd had this facility of rehabilitation in your country. M also a physician suffering from spinal cord injury. Don't have control over my bowl nd bladder. I think only the sufferer can feel the pain of loosing body part or the part which is not moving. 😢😢

I too love swimming after paralysis, and live a full and happy life. Even I cried at this beautiful portrayal of life after SCI. Bravo to the producers of this piece ❤

The light of god comes down from the sky ans our only job is to turn on our bright light to meet it so we
Can access the unlimited and this starts with loving ourself enough ans having others love us also and do our work of finding this brightness inside This story is an example
