I have been accidentally using it since I was born. I was always winning, I could manipulate other people. I was getting really good on my grades, but then I was eating bad food, I was getting into bad addictions and habits, now I seem to be overestimating what happens next and it doesn't give me an accurate outcome of the future.

The problem with these types of "positive thinking" techniques like "cancel/clear" is that is based on the false premise that what is "negative" is objective.

Just because something is challenging, does that make it "negative"? Sometimes "negative" thoughts help you realize something is wrong with a situation and you need to move in a different direction.

Highly Sensitive People get accused of being "negative" all the time when they are just the canaries in the coal mine. Thinking "negative" thoughts about an organization or a leader can help you leave a toxic, cult-like environment.

What is considered negative is very subjective and you shouldn't just block or cancel those thoughts out automatically because sometimes those thoughts are actually leading you to truth.

I took the course in 1990, and took refresher courses with the local instructor. I attended the Bert Goodman lecture and purchased his tapes. I got nothing out of this.

i want to iterate that isnt so easy for everyone, some people have work to do, comfort is a delicacy in life because our life should not be treated as somthing we control. This is because of perspective, and this video seems like its not made from the perspective that theyre aware of suffering and loss, as if thats supposed to be easy. and i want people who are struggling are struggling and dying to feel like a purpouse can be found for them, and it is found within. I stumbled across this sylva methood if it calls to me, ill give it a shot but im generally skeptical about normalized things. i need to know the people who are "normalizing it" first to know its credibility.
