I’m just really excited to see Denis’s vision come to life. He seems so passionate about this.

EDIT: I misspoke when I said Harkonnen disguised as Sardaukar. Apologies for that. I was running at a low energy percentage today 😩

I saw the teaser trailer in front of TENET and it looks incredible as all of Denis Villeneauve's films do!

I do pray that this movie will do well - that it receives the mass appeal the LOTR trilogy did. I want to see the whole book adapted!

I was a Senior in high school when the original, first "Dune" book came out. I devoured it...and became, from that time, a devoted fan of scifi. I've read ALL the books...even Brian Herbert's later series...and since I already very much admire Denis Villeneuve's other works, I think that Done 2020 will be a film to not merely enjoy, but which will be a masterpiece. To say, "I cannot wait, " (for next weeks' full trailer, and then the film itself later) would be an enormous understatement.

The build-up of excitement is dramatically heightened after seeing and hearing about everything we hoped for. This film is the real deal.

In 1984, I had the opportunity to take a Science Fiction Literature class at my high school. Of course we studied George Orwell's 1984, such ironic timing. But my favorite was "Dune", and then the movie came out very shortly afterward. Like you, I was left half satisfied, but still loved the look of the film and got a small taste of the characters on screen. I'm extremely anxious to see Villeneuve's version! I already can see the design and costuming is outstanding and I'm hoping it's faithful to Frank Herbert's wisdom of the sand and philosophy. I'm excited to see the ornithopters and sandworms! I'm a big fan of Chalamet, he's PERFECT as Paul and also Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. Now that I think of it, most of the cast seems to be well suited also. Can't wait 😁

Villeneuve is such a talent, I absolutely love his vision and trust he's been doing all he can to adapt the Book.

03:50 Harkonnen troops disguised as Sardaukar? I think you mixed that up.

I like the style. The picture with the sandworm in particular. Timothée Chalame has to be the best pick as Paul. Every picture with him in it, just feels like out of the novel. like the picture with paul and gaius helen mohiam.

I hope Villeneuve follows the path toward complex plot and storyplay. That was Lynch's problem - he believed audiences are capable of complex stories, but failed to follow through. For instance, you mentioned Villeneuve may explore Paul's ability to see the future. I hope he digs further. As Maud'Dib, Paul's powers grow to such an extent that he can sense future, past, and present - intertwined. Won't get more complex than that! There's also something in the politics of Dune (plans within plans). Lynch merely brushed over some of it. Villeneuve has an opportunity to dig deeper - expose some of Herberts deeper philosophical perspectives about government and leaders - and offer viewers with (perhaps) a clearer understanding of the world today. Once again - excellent vid. Thank you.

Have seen the teaser trailer in front of TENET also. I am telling you, as a lifelong Dune fan, that they have NAILED IT. I actually started crying.

I've been a "Dune" fan for almost 20 years, and in my opinion, Herbert would by proud of the director and the cast. I haven't even seen the trailer yet and it all looks perfect. I could probably tell where the first film will end.

I always liked the Lynch version. Sure it wasn't perfect but he defiantly managed to crate a very alien universe that looked amazing.

Somehow I just wish that I just read the books and never seen the original Dune movie so I could enjoy the 2020 version pristine.. At the same time I'm so glad that I have already seen the original Dune movie and can enjoy and appreciate this glorious remake on 2020 and have my goosebumps going on..
