You have to remember this dude has been hunted since he was a small child, his entire family wiped out, told lies that his people back home pray for his return, he’s called the Beggar Prince because he had to sell his mothers crown just to keep himself and Dany safe. He’s a terrible person but his upbringing definitely molded him

A great scene, Viserys is such an incredible character. I quote "And yet here you stand. And yet here I stand." all the time. Such a badass interaction.

I feel bad for Viserys sometimes. If you think about it, he was a young boy who saw his entire family line and throne fall and be taken by others. He had to take care of his younger sister alone, and only wanted his throne back. Whether it was bad or good the way he wanted it back, he only ever wanted to put the Targaryen line back on the throne. Every time someone made a promise to him though, they broke it or betrayed him. Pretty hard to not be so angry or delirious when everybody has betrayed you and you’ve gained nothing. (this doesn’t excuse his abuse of daenerys, this is just an explanation of his “trust issues”)

Honestly this scene was quite important for viserys' character, like the weight of expectations was just way to much for him to handle. I mean he may have just been a crazy person all his life, but it hasnt been made easy for him.

To a certain extent I do feel sorry for Viserys because for years he did have to practically beg what few noble houses in essos would take him and his sister in after Jon Cunnington died plus he sold the last of his mother’s jewelry to host some sell swords that ate up his food and drank his after he tried to raise an army on top of that Robert had assassins come after so none of that could have been good for his mental but that doesn’t justify him being cruel to the only family he had left

Props to Visarys for Keeping his Sister alive and himself trying to get back what was stolen from his family. People don't realize how tuff he had it and Danny wouldn't be alive without him.
