The problem is a lot of back up. Cameras are way too close to reverse lights so when you throw them on it’s like looking through security camera with two porch lights on either side.

It's not a bad camera. There's most likely something smeared across the lens. If you put the gear selector in reverse, and activate the rear wiper cleaning switch on the righthand stalk of the steering The little nozzle next to the lens will attempt to clear the obstruction.
