A quick note on the table for 4K Pro - those few green tiles are actually also supposed to be blue (so everything is blue) AKA everything can be captured in HDR or SDR. Our error wasn't caught until after Harris filmed but I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested in playing in sweet sweet 4K 240fps HDR or 1440p 240fps HDR

Quick note from our team - The resolution chart for 4K Pro which we sent to Harris had an error in it, and we apologize for that. 4K Pro can capture every input resolution and frame rate combination in HDR, including 1440p240 HDR as 720p240 HDR and 4K240 HDR as 1080p240 HDR (and lower frame rates). This was incorrectly labeled in the chart.

Additionally there is a mistake on the 4K X chart under the 1440p144 Column - 4K X will not turn a 1440p144fps signal into 1440p240fps one - our bad.

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade! I'm glad I waited for Elgato to put their stuff out!

I dont understand why the 4k Pro cant also do 4k144 to 4k144 in SDR, and the other SDR like the X does

The fact that you are pointing at charts with a tripod is peak entertainment 😂 loved that

Kudos to you, Harris. It's not easy standing up to those who pay you. But you're doing the right thing.

I had nothing but problems with my Elgato 4K Pro. Which was unfortunate as I have a ton of their other products. I have never had a problem with Avermedia's though. Also Elgato's warranty process was a nightmare. 🤷‍♀

Thanks for that info. You got me thinking about upgrading my capture card.😅

So confused that the USB is better than the PCI E variant. Really no point in bypassing 8k content

You missed the biggest down side of the 4k pro. It only does resolution scaling at 4k. Hence you can game at 4k240 but it captures 1080 240

This video was a hard watch, I didn't make it to the hdmi 2.1 very frustrating

Disappointing the 4k X can't do 4k60 in hdr, especially considering the price increase compare to the HD60X

these charts are excellent, now if only I knew if there were any issues running on linux . . .

holy crap the 4k X is the better option yes you don't get the over all HDR support but it has way more options for higher FPS 1440p and 1080p which most will be streaming/recording at.

I'm planning to get the 4K X. I do primarily console 4K stuff and nice to see a 4K refresh.

I play on a 1440p 240 OLED monitor - Dual PC setup. My setup is paired between Rode caster Pro 2, the Mk.2 4k60 been great but I need that 240 pass through. Just bought it! thanks man!

Dude. You are one good salesman. And not in the bad kind of way. Pretty damn cool.

why is the 1440 240hz category so empty when 4k 240hz has up to 1080 240 in sdr. i would atleast expect 1080 60 too be marked. is it simply because of the resolution miss match. it wont effect me in the slightest but i think lots of 2 pc people could run into issue considering 1440 240 monitors are becoming very popular.
