Itˋs sounds so scary.. I am so grateful, that in Germany it is normal, that you have a 6-8 week long phase, where you and your Child can get to know the daycare. It is like a step by step program which is led by the child. Only after a week there will be the first short separation and from there on the seperations will be longer, till the child is ready for lunchtime and eventually the midday nap! Some Kids are faster, other take longer! So grateful, that we had this opportunity, because my daughter really needs that time to feel comfortable.

Totally get this. I work as a teacher in an ece in Nz and I’m also a parent with my 17 month old in the baby room. It’s so important that your teachers are making the effort to build a bond with you as parents as much as your child and making you feel comfortable and confident that they have got this!! I hope they’re doing that for you and you feel content leaving you LO with them 😘

I am able to stay home with my kiddos and then was able to watch my two nephews before they went to preschool. So I was the daycare😄 I loved it. I'm sure it would be hard to take them to daycare. School is similar situation.
BTW, I love that green room you walked past!!

Daycare is tough, i would if you can have a sick bag or box on hand with everything you need for kiddo sick days, unfortunately that is another fun gift daycare gives you. But you are doing great, and it will get easier and you will get to know their "teachers" in time

I refuse daycare. When my oldest was 4 a worker grabbed her by the collar and she ended up busting her lip open on the park bench. Her neck had a red ring bec of how hard she was pulled. The police questioned ME bec of how angry I was. Thanks Woodstock IL officers.

Childcare is really expensive. The parents must be earning a lot... maybe money is more of a priority especially when there are two parents. Maybe the one who earns the most can work while the other stays at home. I don't see the point in having children and then leaving them at nursery from 8am until 6pm... especially 5 days a week. What's the point in having a child that spends time with these carers more than their own parents. I just don't understand it.

Boggles my mind seeing how many parents actually willingly drop their children off to strangers for 6+ hours. Talkin about the ones that willingly do it. Not the ones that have the means to not do it.
